My Approach
My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe space where you feel that you can be vulnerable and authentic, and receive support and authenticity in return. The difficulties that we face in life allow us opportunities to learn more about ourselves and our strengths, while also opening up our perspective. I value a holistic approach, realizing that our minds and bodies are connected and that nurturing one can positively impact the other, and believe that therapy should be an environment that fosters self-awareness and empowerment and encourages growth. I realize that every individual is the expert of their own life, and my goal is to be a support as you navigate through the obstacles of life.

Experience
My experience has allowed me to work with diverse populations and address various mental health concerns. During graduate school I worked with a non-profit organization providing trauma informed care to survivors of domestic violence. My time at this organization provided me with insight to the effects of abuse and trauma and the secondary effects that can impact family and loved ones. I was able to expand my knowledge of various mental health concerns (including OCD, panic disorder, and substance use) during my internship here at Third Wave. I have gained skills in mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other therapeutic techniques while working with clients to address mental health concerns in an individual therapy setting. -
