We are a mental wellness company with a yoga studio.
There are many great yoga studios out there, but not many mental wellness clinics that offer yoga. We’re changing that. Our yoga and mindfulness classes are available to anyone in our Raleigh community.
Yoga at Third Wave is more of a mental workout than a physical workout. No loud music. No sweating (maybe some). Simply learning and practicing “being” with your mind and your body. With an emphasis on cultivating mindfulness and practicing non-reactivity, yoga classes at Third Wave prepare you to more effectively manage stress, deal with difficult emotions, increase focus, and boost productivity.

Sharon MacGregor, RYT-200, HHC
Sharon is a certified yoga instructor and holistic health and lifestyle coach. She has been teaching since 2013, but practicing since 1995. She took her first yoga class which was offered at her corporate job in NYC, to allow employees some time to become mindful during the workday, She has been hooked ever since. As a new teacher, she taught yoga and nutrition classes for her local community at the Durham Public Library for 3-years. She has developed a passion for teaching beginners and people new to yoga. Her philosophy is that each body is different, and there is a yoga practice for every single one. Her philosophy is that linking the breath to movement helps us to be mindful and present. The practice of yoga gives us this mindfulness skill to take off the mat so we may deal with situations that pop up in our lives in a very mindful way, and also allow us to really enjoy the precious moments that each day presets.
She is originally from the Caribbean island of Trinidad and lived in NYC for 18 years before moving to NC in 2005 to raise her kids in a calmer environment. She lives on a farm in Durham with her two children, 3 horses, 12 chickens. Three goats are set to join the family in the early summer. She is converting her farm into a mindfulness retreat center, to continue her work of teaching people mindfully take care of themselves.
