My Approach

I believe we are the summation of all our experiences up to the present moment. Our stories make us unique and human. They can be beautiful, joyful, and wonderful and they can be heartbreaking, overwhelming and challenging. Therapy provides the opportunity to safely explore your story and decide how you want to continue living it. In the counseling room, my goal is to create a warm, safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for you to explore the challenges that life presents, and work with you towards your personal goals to create a more meaningful, authentic, intentional life. This process requires courage, compassion, honesty, collaboration, and vulnerability. I am here to journey with you through it. I use a variety of therapy modalities including mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, depending on your needs and goals. With these tools, I hope to facilitate mind/body and present moment awareness, teach emotion regulation and coping skills, work on healthy communication skills, explore thought processes and belief systems, and cultivate self-compassion and resilience.
