Many of the clients I work with are navigating major life transitions, high levels of responsibility, or the long-term effects of stress, loss, or trauma, and theyβre ready for meaningful change rather than endless processing. They want clarity, perspective, and practical direction, not just a place to vent. They are thoughtful, capable adults looking for focused, experience-driven support.
With more than 35 years of experience as a licensed psychologist, I bring a steady, grounded approach to therapy. My background includes over two decades as a forensic evaluator at a state psychiatric hospital, along with many years running a private therapy practice. I have also trained and mentored clinicians and served on healthcare committees and professional boards, experiences that allow me to work comfortably with complexity, responsibility, and high-stakes situations.
I work primarily with adults navigating work-related stress, work-life balance concerns, career transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma recovery. I also bring specialized experience supporting individuals through grief and loss, interpersonal challenges, and complex medical or neurological transitions, including brain injury, stroke recovery, and disability management.
My approach is strength-based and solution-focused. I am thoughtful, direct, and practical, and I believe therapy should help you move forward, not stay stuck. Whether we are addressing stress, trauma, or a major life transition, my goal is to provide a supportive and collaborative space where you can identify what matters most, build effective strategies, and create lasting, meaningful change.

I bring a broad and extensive background in psychology, with experience spanning clinical practice, evaluation, rehabilitation, and long-term therapeutic work. Over the course of my career, I have worked with individuals across a wide range of life stages and circumstances, including those navigating complex emotional, medical, and neurological challenges.
My experience includes both intensive clinical settings and private practice, allowing me to work effectively with high-acuity concerns as well as longer-term personal growth and adjustment. I also have a strong background in rehabilitation-focused care, supporting individuals as they adapt to injury, illness, disability, and major life changes.
Across my work, I have collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams, mentored developing professionals, and contributed to healthcare systems and professional organizations. This breadth of experience allows me to bring perspective, steadiness, and practicality to my work, and to meet clients with confidence, clarity, and respect for the complexity of their lives.
