Maybe you know something needs to change, but youβre not sure what, how, or whether youβre even ready yet. Thatβs okay. We can start there.
As a doctoral-level clinician, I specialize in working with adults who feel stuck, especially when the ways youβve been coping arenβt working anymore. I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, emotion dysregulation, and behavioral addictions, including gambling, internet use, and pornography use.
I especially enjoy working with people who feel conflicted about change. You donβt have to come to therapy already motivated, with a perfectly defined goal, or even completely convinced youβre ready to do things differently.
We might be a particularly good fit if:
You feel lost, disconnected, or unsure of what matters to you.
You struggle with motivation, decision-making, follow-through, or feeling stuck.
Self-criticism, low self-confidence, or difficulty asserting yourself gets in your way.
Something you once used to cope, like substances, gambling, or internet use, has started to feel compulsive or difficult to control.
The ways you manage difficult emotions seem to help in the moment but make things harder in the long run.
I believe meaningful change starts with understanding where you are now. Iβll take time to get to know you, what matters to you, what you want your life to look like, and what keeps getting in the way.
My doctoral training and clinical experience allow me to draw from a range of research-supported cognitive and behavioral therapies and tailor our work to the person sitting in front of me. You can expect an approach that is flexible, research-informed, strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming, LGBTQ+ affirming, and gently accountable.
You donβt have to know exactly what needs to change before you start. Figuring that out can be part of the work.
I am part of PSYPACT, which allows me to work with clients in North Carolina as well as across more than 40 participating states in the U.S. via telehealth.

I have spent my career working with adults navigating substance use, addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, emotion dysregulation, and other concerns that often overlap rather than fit neatly into one diagnosis.
A significant part of my clinical experience has been in addiction medicine, working with adults across residential, hospital, and outpatient settings. That work shaped my particular interest in helping people who feel conflicted about change, including those who know a behavior is causing problems but aren't sure they're ready, willing, or able to do something differently.
I also have extensive experience using evidence-based behavioral therapies, including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, ACT, and Behavioral Activation, as well as specialized training in adapting treatment for neurodivergent clients.
My background as a doctoral-level clinician gives me the flexibility to work with complexity. Rather than assuming one diagnosis or one therapy approach explains everything, I work to understand how the different pieces of your experience fit together and what is most likely to help you move forward.
