The stories of our lives shape how we see ourselves and how we move through the world. As a narrative-based therapist, I consider it a privilege to be invited into your story and to walk alongside you as you pursue the change you are seeking. With specialized training in marriage and family therapy, I bring a unique understanding of how family and relational experiences shape the way we interact with ourselves and others today.
I draw on both skills-based and process-based models in my work. For example, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to explore how early attachment patterns continue to impact us in adulthood. I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients clarify their values, build psychological flexibility, and take meaningful steps toward a more fulfilling life.
Alongside this deeper therapeutic work, I provide executive function coaching and specialize in supporting clients with ADHD. This includes building practical skills for focus, organization, and emotional regulation, as well as offering parent coaching to help caregivers create calmer homes and stronger connections with their children.
I operate from a neurodivergent-affirming and trauma-informed lens, providing a compassionate and supportive atmosphere while also inviting growth and change. Whether I am working with individuals navigating life’s challenges or couples investing in their relationship through therapy intensives, I am committed to meeting you where you are and partnering with you to reach your goals.emily@3rdwavetherapy.com

I believe it’s important to keep growing as a therapist and continually expanding the ways I support clients. Over the years, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and families on a wide range of concerns, which has deepened my ability to meet each client where they are.
My clinical experience includes providing executive function coaching and parent coaching for ADHD, where I help families build practical tools for focus, organization, and emotional regulation. I am also passionate about working with the neurodivergent community, and I’ve created spaces like a therapeutic gaming group to help clients connect, grow social skills, and experience a sense of belonging in ways that feel natural and fun.
In addition, I specialize in couples therapy intensives, where partners can step away from daily distractions and devote focused time to strengthening their relationship. These extended sessions create space for meaningful progress in communication, intimacy, and trust.
Together, these experiences reflect my commitment to offering therapy that is supportive, creative, and transformative. Helping individuals, parents, and couples create lasting change in their lives and relationships.
