My approach to therapy blends skills-based strategies with deeper emotional exploration so we can meet your unique needs from multiple directions. I often use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to identify thought patterns and core beliefs that may be fueling stress, anxiety, or unhelpful behaviors. Alongside CBT, I draw on dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help you build mindfulness skills, strengthen relationships, regulate emotions, and handle difficult situations more effectively.
I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on helping clients accept what they cannot control, clarify their personal values, and take meaningful action toward living a more fulfilling life. ACT can be especially powerful for navigating anxiety, depression, and trauma, while encouraging flexibility and resilience.
For those who benefit from deeper emotional work, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to explore attachment patterns and how past experiences impact relationships and self-understanding. This process often creates more connection β with yourself, with loved ones, and with your environment.
Because both past and present experiences matter, I create space to safely explore the emotions tied to them. For trauma recovery, I often use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a leading evidence-based treatment for PTSD and trauma, to support long-term healing and relief.
Above all, I believe therapy should be flexible and tailored to you. Whether youβre looking for support with trauma recovery, stress management, anxiety treatment, or relationship challenges, I work to create a safe, supportive space where genuine growth and healing can happen.
I provide therapy via telehealth and am part of PSYPACT, which allows me to work with clients in North Carolina as well as across more than 40 participating states in the U.S.
