EMDR Intensives

Focused time for the work that cannot always fit into a weekly therapy session.

EMDR intensives offer a longer, more concentrated format for working through a specific experience, pattern, or source of distress without having to stop just as you are getting somewhere.

This is not a shortcut or a one-size-fits-all approach. Your therapist will help determine whether an intensive fits your needs, goals, and current level of support.

Available in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Garner, and virtually across North Carolina.

When one hour does not feel like enough

Weekly therapy can be exactly what you need. But sometimes 50 minutes leaves you stopping just as the deeper work begins.

An EMDR intensive creates a longer, uninterrupted space to focus on one treatment goal with an EMDR-trained therapist. It may be a fit if you are working through trauma, grief, anxiety, a distressing experience, or a pattern that still feels stuck.

You do not need to know exactly what to target before reaching out. We will help you decide whether this format makes sense for you.

A focused process, built around you.

Before scheduling an intensive, we will talk through what is bringing you in, what you hope to work on, and whether an extended session is clinically appropriate.

Your therapist will create a personalized plan and pace the work around your nervous system, not a predetermined agenda. Breaks and grounding support are built in as needed.

EMDR intensives are private pay and start at $550 for a two-hour session. HSA and FSA funds may be used when eligible.

Already have a therapist? With your permission, we can collaborate with them so the intensive supports the work you are already doing.
