My Approach

I believe that authenticity, empathy, and acceptance are powerful tools in supporting growth and healing. Counseling is an individualized and collaborative process, and I aim to guide clients to increase self-awareness, decrease symptoms, gain new perspectives, and expand personal strengths to have a more meaningful life experience.  I approach counseling with a person-centered framework, and incorporate mindfulness and evidence-based theories, such as, Dialectical Behavior therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral therapy. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults who are navigating eating disorders, body image distress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I approach wellness from a body-positive, Health at Every Size perspective, and my goal is to offer counseling that is evidence based, and culturally responsive.
