Therapist

My Approach

I believe we are in this together. Life challenges can cause us to feel overwhelmed and like we are all alone, but that is not true. While you are the expert in your own life, I would love the privilege to help you navigate life’s trials. I understand it can be scary to take the step towards therapy and I want to commend you for making the decision to look for a therapist.

  • Experience

While working towards my graduate degree I had the privilege to work in public safety and offer emergency services to those in need. During this time I was given the opportunity to work with people who experienced domestic violence as they navigated the legal system and worked towards creating a better life. My internship allowed me the opportunity to work with college students at N.C. State’s Counseling Center. While there I assisted students as they navigated life adjustments such as family dynamics, academics, anxiety, and body image distress. Most recently I have worked with children diagnosed with eating disorders at the inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care. It is my passion to work with first responders who have experienced stress and trauma due to their career.
