My Approach
As a counselor, my priority is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to build and expand their self-awareness and work towards growth and healing. I believe your story is important, both what has already been written and what is to come. I strive to provide an environment where clients feel safe to use their voice, develop confidence, and instill hope for the future. My approach to counseling is holistic in nature and tailored to the individual needs of my clients. I pull from CBT, DBT, ACT, and existential theories in my therapeutic practice along with somatic techniques to align body and mind through breathwork, meditation, and mindful movement. I guide clients in recognizing their freedom of choice to create and build the fulfilling and meaningful lives they want while continuing to grow, heal, and understand themselves. I am a registered Yoga teacher, as well, and have completed trainings in trauma and addiction to bring yoga/mindful movement in the therapy sessions both in individual and group formats. I work with clients struggling with interpersonal (relationship to others) and intrapersonal (relationship to self) difficulties, as well as, trauma, depression, anxiety, both perpetrators of intimate partner violence and survivors.
