About the Group
This group is intended for couples who are in a committed relationship and who are considering marriage, whether or not they are actually engaged. The group is designed to assist with building the foundations for a long and happy marriage through relational skill building. This group will include building of communication and conflict resolution skills, family planning, enrichment of lifestyle dynamics, and creation of shared meaningful goals. The end goal of premarital counseling is to improve you and your partner’s ability to create a long-lasting partnership that you can both benefit and grow from.
Note: This group is mainly based upon the Prepare Enrich model of premarital therapy, but will also include material from John Gottman and Gary Chapman.
