About the Group
This group is for young men who struggle with with social fears that are getting in the way of living a meaningful, valued life. Whether it be meeting and talking to new people, participating in group activities, or performing in school or at work, this group is geared towards developing the skills and abilities to thrive in any social situation.
We will use mindfulness and behavioral techniques from a therapy approach called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the goal of which is to help you open up to difficult thoughts and feelings while doing what is important to you. Learn how to go from living in Safety Mode, to living in Vital Action Mode (being fully present in social situations, and letting go of your struggles with anxious thoughts and feelings).

Group Format
- The group meets weekly for 2 hours for 10 weeks (Tuesdays from 5pm to 7pm).
- It is intended for adults 18 years of age and older, and the group may have up to 8 participants.
- Once the group commences membership will be closed and no new members will be admitted.
- All participants must have an up-to-date clinical assessment (conducted within the past 12 months).
- The group is conducted in an interactive seminar format, with provision of information, discussion, skill development / feedback, and homework practice

Fees & Payment
Cost for the group is:
$600.00 if paying in installments
$500.00 if paid in full upon registrationIf billing insurance, please note that due to the structure of this program you will be responsible for paying up to 50% of your service fees out-of-pocket. For more information regarding billing for this group please contact our office.
